Since becoming Southwestern Pennsylvania's first eco, tech and arts festival in 2010, the Geek Art / Green Innovator's Festival has won an award from the Pittsburgh Technology Council, been part of the international year of science, floated new technology at consumer level for a number of organizations, highlighted major universities like Carnegie Mellon, Pitt, and Duquesne University, and supported new businesses in our county like TechShop.
